WHO WE ARE
The apartment is placed on the first floor of a typical venician house. From the apartment, recently modernized, you have an exellent view of the Lagoon with its islands: Murano, Burano and St. Michele.
The apartment is situated in a calm area next to the Arsenal walls. It is a landmark that allow turists to orientate themselves in the most feature district of Venice.

In 10 minutes on foot you can reach St. Marc Square and Rialto Bridge. With the water-bus (the stop is in front of the apartment), you can get to the principal islands af the Lagoon:

Murano is famous for its Glass Factory;

Burano is characteristic for its colourated house and it is famous for its laces;
- in
Torcello you can see the Devil Bridge, the Attila's Throne and the ancient Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral;
- in
St. Michele there is the historical cemetery;
- in
Lido there is the beach and on september, you can see the Internataional Show of Cinema of Venice.
From the 'Giardini' water-bus stop you can reach the Biennial Exhibition of Moder Art.


Castello's history
Welcome to Venice,
In the area of Castello there are buildings of the Arsenale, once the biggest dockyard in the world and today the seat of the Naval History Museum, which keeps. The history of the Venetia and Italian navy. The Corderie (the rope factory)houses the Biennal Exhibition of Modern Art of Venice.
The 18th century, was a golden period for Venice and its Lagoon and if you want to live it through again you can walk around the town following any itinerary: museum, palaces, churches, monuments….
any important people have come to Venice:
the great poet Dante who arrived in Venice as ambassador visited the Arsenal and he described it in Canto XXI of Inferno.
Leonardo Da Vinci who praised of the Arsenalotti (the workers of the Arsenal) for the building of gallery (the Venetian Ships) like the Bucintoro which was built for the Doge.
Near our apartment you can still see the Arch that belonged to walls of the Ca Sagredo which was destroyed by the fire of the Arsenale in 1569
.
